Presented overview of the NCIS/NUH imaged guided interstitial cervical brachytherapy programme at Japanese Society of Therapeutic Radiation Oncology (JASTRO) 2017 meeting. Met up with Prof Itami to discuss collaboration given that interstitial cervix brachytherapy is not available in Japan yet as well as Prof Ohno. Also met up with both Richard and Charles from Elekta- the vendor that manufactures the brachytherapy equipment- to explore the use of the latest Venezia gyn applicator for use in Singapore, which will make NCIS/NUH the first in the Asian region to use the Venezia applicator.
